Souhila Hariz successfully graduated from Skills City’s Data Analytics Skills Bootcamp after taking a 5-year career break to care for her two children as a stay-at-home mum. After completing a degree in marine and environmental sciences in Algeria, Souhila worked as an environmental engineer. She moved to Manchester in 2017 and put her career on pause to focus on raising her two young children.
Following a 5-year career break, Souhila continued learning English as a third language and began searching for the right opportunity that would allow her the flexibility to be present for her children. She successfully applied for the Data Analytics bootcamp, and its person-centred approach meant she could tailor her upskilling to the specific areas needed to secure her perfect job. The bootcamp structure gave her the freedom to continue learning at home through session recordings.
