Partnership to support AI adoption, strengthen workforce capability and drive productivity across Greater Manchester businesses

IN4 Group has been selected as the exclusive AI and data training partner to Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce (GMCC), enabling businesses across the region to deliver better, faster and more profitably by empowering and upskilling their existing workforce in AI and data technology.

Through the partnership, GMCC members will gain access to AI and data training, funded by the Growth and Skills Levy, available to organisations of all sizes and from any sector.

GMCC and IN4 Group have had a long-standing alliance, and this partnership builds on their successful collaboration in 2025, through IN4’s Modern Workplace Programme, where AI and data upskilling were delivered to 169 Greater Manchester businesses, with a combined workforce of 5,280.

The Chamber is the leading independent business representation body, with over 3,500 members, and 35,000 more businesses in our wider community. Advocating the voice of business in Greater Manchester and influencing a range of industries, the Chamber is committed to creating an inclusive and collaborative network of organisations to empower Greater Manchester’s commerce, community and culture.

Members will benefit from access to local in-person training, with a portfolio of programmes for the entire workforce, mapped to organisational AI use cases, that simultaneously deliver business productivity and people capability.

Throughout 2026, the exclusive partnership will host free half-day AI workshops across Greater Manchester, launch several funded programmes each quarter for workers from SMEs, and support larger businesses in establishing and operating in-house AI and Data Academies, strengthening governance, ethics and security.

The approach is focused on practical application. Training is built around real business challenges, with staff gaining confidence in applying AI and data technologies to achieve tangible workplace benefits.

IN4 Group is one of a small number of technology training providers that, in addition to being an Ofsted “Good” training provider, are licensed to deliver training and qualifications for Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google.

Mo Isap OBE, CEO of IN4 Group, said: “Most businesses don’t have an AI problem; they have an application problem. They know it matters, but they’re not always clear on where it will make a difference.

“This partnership is about closing that gap. It is about helping organisations across Greater Manchester move from interest in using AI to actually using it in ways that empower teams to deliver better, faster and more efficiently.

“That comes from working on real use cases and building capability within teams, not just running training in isolation. If AI is going to have a real impact, it must translate into productivity. Otherwise, it doesn’t stick.”

Wayne Jones OBE, Chair of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, said: “Businesses are under pressure to do more with less, and AI is increasingly part of that conversation, but for many, it is still unclear how to apply it in a practical way.

“What our members are looking for is straightforward, useful support. Not jargon or overcomplication, but clear guidance on how these technologies can improve how they operate day to day.

“This collaboration with IN4 Group gives them access to exactly that, helping businesses build confidence, strengthen capability and make better decisions about where AI can deliver real value.”

IN4 has a strong track record of delivering technology skills programmes at scale. To date, it has supported more than 6,000 individuals into tech careers, delivered workforce development to over 21,000 people, safeguarded 1,267 jobs, and helped create 269 new roles.

By combining this experience with GMCC’s reach, the partnership is expected to support productivity gains while strengthening Greater Manchester’s position as a leading digital economy.
