It was amazing to see such a mix of people from different backgrounds at the first IN4.0 Factory: Additive Manufacturing.
From electricians to engineers, students and academics and many more, there was a wide array of present and future manufacturers in attendance at the Creative Innovation Zone at UCLan’s Media Factory.
Paul Croft, Director of Ultimaker GB, told fascinating stories of how 3D printing has transformed businesses across the world, not just on Return on Investment.
Melissa Snover, Managing Director and Founder of Magic Candy Factory, was also inspiring as she discussed her entrepreneurial journey to creating the world’s first 3D food printer.
Following a panel discussion, where the keynote speakers answered the audience’s burning questions, we had three industry workshops.
Magic Candy Factory’s stand was popular throughout the event, with live demonstrations of 3D printing sweets, some of which the delegates were lucky enough to take home with them.
