Outstanding Match for Talented Student

Dominic Howorth is an ambitious and enthusiastic undergraduate student, who alongside his studies worked for a local manufacturer here in the North West as a Design Engineer. Towards the end of his degree, Dominic’s employment with the company ended and he was looking for new opportunities.

Around the same time, Dominic became acquainted with the IN4.0 TALENT team, part of IN4.0 Group, who are based at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) campus in Preston where he was studying.

Due to his great skill set and ambition, when one of our clients mentioned they were looking for a Design Engineer, we were able to introduce Dominic to Fuse Contract Furniture, who specialise in high quality commercial furnishings that are made to order.

With clients under their belt such as Living Ventures and Laura Ashley, we were confident that not only was Dominic a good match for Fuse Contract Furniture, but they were a good match for him and would enable him to develop his skill set even further.

“Dominic absolutely blew us away at interview and his attitude and vision are so far ahead of his years. I would go as far as saying that he is the best candidate I have ever interviewed for any role in any business I’ve worked in. I am genuinely excited about him working with us, what he can bring to the company and his potential for the future.”

Danny Ambler, Operations Director at Fuse Contract Furniture

IN4.0 TALENT bridges the gap between industry and education, creating exciting new opportunities for both employers and students and growing a digital workforce that is fit for the future.

TALENT signs up cohorts of up to 10 postgraduates per business unit, from North West universities on fixed term contracts ranging from six to 18 months. Our Associates are placed into one of IN4.0’s three hubs at Preston, Salford and Liverpool, to run them as business units. There, they learn entrepreneurial and leadership skills and gain experience in everything from brand development and digital marketing to pitching to prospective clients.

Whilst working for TALENT, our Associates will also undertake a professional development scheme that helps them to develop critical employability and business skills.
