IN4 Group launched the ground-breaking FreelanceHER 100 accelerator programme in November 2020, a fully funded 12-week business accelerator for women working to launch and grow sustainable businesses in digital, creative, media and technology sectors across Greater Manchester and Lancashire.

For women, by women

IN4 established FreelanceHER 100 after realising how many women had lost their jobs and were disproportionately impacted by the pandemic. There was a huge gap in support for women, many were made redundant or had career breaks due to increased childcare responsibilities as well as mothers who were looking to return to work.

Its mission was to support a diverse community of women who have the skills to launch and lead businesses in multiple markets, acting as a safe place to test their ideas, innovate and grow their businesses.

Empowering women

FreelanceHER 100 delivered impactful, meaningful connections, and value to participants with 104 women freelancers from across the region having successfully graduated from the programme in June 2021.

The feedback from participants was unanimous, the value they gleaned from peer-to-peer mentoring was what set this programme apart, and unlike anything else, they had experienced elsewhere.

“It was an incredible opportunity; I didn’t know how inspiring and life-changing it would be for me. I’ve worked for myself for 20 years, took time to raise my kids – I didn’t know I had lost my confidence and stalled in my technology understanding. This programme helped me know what I didn’t know.”
